Tax Real Estate Director/Tax Partner

MIDSIZE ACCOUNTING FIRM LOOKING TO HIRE A TAX DIRECTOR OR PARTNER FOR THEIR REAL ESTATE TAX GROUP.

This individual will provide tax compliance and tax consulting services for middle market businesses within the Real Estate industry.

•Develop and maintain real estate industry knowledge, serving as a subject matter expert in the industry

•Review and approve individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns for accuracy and tax saving opportunities

•Lead client engagement planning, workflow, and execution including providing updates on work status and responding to inquiries

•Review the closing of client books and records, and make adjustments as needed in accordance with the basis of accounting

•Review the necessary tax basis company financial statements and personal financial statements

•Organize and consult with clients on transactional issues

•Manage multiple client engagements and projects concurrently with assigned teams

•Serve as a trusted advisor and build and maintain valued-added relationships with clients and their teams

•Work with Partners to negotiate fees, manage client relations, billings and collections

•Research and consult on highly complex tax-related matters

•Proactively identify and mitigate risks

•Identify tax planning and new service opportunities to generate new revenue streams

•Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities

•Build the Firm of the Future by overseeing, coaching, mentoring, and developing Seniors through Senior Managers via on-the-job training and regular feedback

•Actively participate in developing and/or facilitating professional development programs

•Contribute to special projects, as needed
