Job Description

Role: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or Mechanical Fitter
Salary: £45,000 to £46,500 per annum + paid overtime + benefits and opportunities to progress up through their salary grades and receive enhancements
Hours: 2 weeks of Days (6am to 6pm) then 2 weeks of Nights (6pm to 6am), on a Panama shift pattern (working 7 out of every 14 days)
Location: Commutable from Durham, Darlington, Billingham, Stockton on Tees, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Sunderland, Eggleston, Consett and surrounding areas

Responsibilities

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or Mechanical Fitter, working 2 weeks of Days (6am to 6pm) then 2 weeks of Nights (6pm to 6am), on a Panama shift pattern (working 7 out of every 14 days). Your role will include:

* Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery.

* Dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems, including fault finding, troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs.

* Assisting with planned shutdowns and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts.

Requirements

* Have completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualifications

* Can demonstrate experience in a similar environment; Industrial, Production or Manufacturing - most environments considered

* Have maintenance experience; dealing with machinery and equipment problems and breakdowns and/or completing preventative maintenance of plant/industrial machinery

* You will need experience in some of the following; Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Belts, Chains, Gearboxes, Pumps, Bearings, Seals, Welding and Fabricating (MIG or Stick)

* Are motivated and are open to new experiences, challenges and ways of working

* Are willing to take on and complete further training as part of your growth and development in the factory and company
