Global Learning and Development Manager


Do you have the ability to work as part of a global talent learning team?


Do you have experience partnering with the SLT team of a dynamic FMCG environment?


Do you have experience creating and driving a clear strategy built supporting multiple leaders and stakeholders?


MacGregor Black are partnering with an FMCG business, on the search for a Global L & D Manager. This is a permanent role based in North London.


Key Responsibilities


  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the Learning and Development strategy to meet business needs, emphasizing Marketing and Commercial capabilities.
  • Learning Delivery: Provide targeted training at segment and functional levels to enhance key skills within the commercial functions of the International segment.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning and execution of learning initiatives for the International Segment, ensuring effective delivery.
  • Content Solutions: Identify and select internal and external learning resources and methods to build necessary capabilities.
  • Integrated Learning: Embed learning opportunities into daily workflows to enable timely and relevant skill development.
  • Market Representation: Advocate for the specific learning requirements of key markets, ensuring tailored learning solutions are deployed to priority areas.


Collaboration and Partnership:


  • Team Representation: Act as the International segment's representative within the Commercial L&D team and vice versa, serving as a key member of the International HR Team.
  • Global Collaboration: Work with Learning Managers across global Commercial Pillar teams to share and align learning initiatives developed by functional L&D teams.
  • Enterprise Coordination: Collaborate with the Enterprise Development Team to roll out broad learning programs such as Invest in Manager, Professional Development, and Global Impact.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (business leaders, talent, and HRBPs) across the International Segment to prioritize learning needs and effectively communicate learning opportunities.


What are we looking for?


  • Education – Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous role
  • Proven ability to analyze needs, prioritize solutions, and effectively communicate scope, timelines, and adjustments as priorities evolve.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and consulting skills. Ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, deliver and partner at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong Verbal and written communication, group facilitation skills and project management skills including a proven track record of leading large, complex projects using standard project management practices and tools
  • Ability to work autonomously and achieve through others without direct authority.


Salary up to £90k + bonus + car allowance. .
