Job Description

Our client - a top global financial publication - is looking for an experienced professional to lead coverage and benchmarking of banking in the Middle East and Africa (MEA). You will engage with senior banking leaders, provide expert analysis, and represent the client at key industry events. This role is central to driving high-quality content and fostering relationships with top banks across the region.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the coverage of banking in the MEA region, offering engaging and accurate analysis.
  • Conduct interviews with senior banking executives to produce insightful industry content.
  • Leverage benchmarking data to identify trends and best practices in MEA banking.
  • Drive the growth of subscription products through a strategic content plan.
  • Represent the client at high-profile industry events, maintaining their esteemed reputation.
  • Collaborate with global analysts to produce rankings, awards, and benchmarking programs.
  • Act as a trusted voice within MEA banking, building relationships with key stakeholders.


Qualifications:


  • 5-10+ years of experience in financial journalism or as a banking analyst/consultant.
  • In-depth understanding of global banking, with a focus on the Middle East and Africa.
  • Proven track record of producing engaging and impactful financial content.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with experience presenting to senior banking leaders.
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative analysis abilities.
  • Experience in data journalism or similar benchmarking products within financial services.
  • Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
