Alexander Steele have partnered exclusively with an international food manufacturer to recruit an Environmental & Sustainability Manager based in Leicester. You will lead the review and development of the company’s environmental management policies and systems for UK sites. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and regulatory affairs, to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicate the wider sustainable development strategy to colleagues & ensure its aspects are understood by SLT across all the sites.
• Lead the environmental management audit programme, ensuring these are completed in accordance with the agreed schedule provide the necessary guidance and support to all
• Manage the annual environmental review for UK sites.
• Waste management and recycle process and procedures effectively put in place and monitored.
• Lead the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) programme.

Background Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience within a dynamic food manufacturing environment.
• IEMA Certification/NEBOSH Environmental Certification
• Excellent communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
• A strong track record of leading and motivating teams in previous positions.
• Strong organisational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.

• Paying £63,000 + £9,000 car allowance
• 10% bonus

• Onsite Monday – Friday 8:30am-5pm
