Job Description

Big pond, small fish?

How about becoming a bigger fish in a smaller pond?

This food business has achieved success through partnering with well-known brands to create a range of innovative, delicious sweet treats. Customers include main retailers, wholesale and export markets.

Here, you'll be working closely with the NPD Manager, where you'll be involved in the entire NPD process. Creating innovative new products, from concept, scalability, to launch, will allow you to develop your skills and confidence quickly. In addition to the branded side, you'll also be working on private label product innovation too. You'll be encouraged to succeed, given freedom and autonomy to grow, although all the coaching and support is there when you need it.

If you're currently a Development Technologist as part of a larger team and feel ready for more accountability, this is the perfect opportunity to achieve that. Or maybe you're a development chef working in food manufacturing who understands factory process, looking to move into NPD. Either way, you'll come with a good understanding of factory processes, able to build trust with factory operations.

Essentially, you'll need a degree in a food science or relative subject, along with a minimum of two years' experience as a Development or Food Technologist, with solid factory process knowledge.

Above all, we're looking for a proactive individual, someone who takes ownership, with a passion for creating innovative, commercially viable delicious products for the customer.

My client is moving quickly and keen to book interviews; so to start the ball rolling, send me your CV today.
