Programmer

Design programs for numerical control machines by optimizing the machining of parts while considering production and safety constraints. TASK LIST: Read and interpret the specifications of the tool to be programmed (including EDM) from electronic and/or paper documents provided by designers or other departments. Establish the machining process for tools according to established standards. Create an adequate EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) program that takes constraints into account to optimize the machining of parts. Create an adequate milling and/or turning program that takes constraints into account to optimize the machining of parts safely. Electronically transmit program files to different stakeholders. Create a programming file containing the necessary information for machining the parts. Perform other related tasks as requested by the supervisor. MONTHLY TASKS: Update HTML documents. Update masters. EQUIPMENT / TOOLS AND DEVICES USED: Software : Planning Programming (Mastercam and Vericut) Windows Environment Machinery Handbook Office accessories Measuring instruments Pre-requisites Experience with CNC lathe and/or CNC milling machines Experience in programming software ( Mastercam ) Diploma of Collegial Studies- Mechanical engineering
