Legal Counsel

My client is a leading provider of technology and professionals services for insurance, financial services and highly regulated markets. They are based across 20+ countries with the largest operations here in the UK as well as in the US. Due to an increased investment in technology and digital transformation, we are supporting an additional hire in the legal team to further strengthen their capabilities.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for in-house legal matters including drafting agreements, addressing compliance issues, and participating in negotiation discussions. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable working with in-house and outside counsels on a variety of legal matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support to the various internal departments
• Work with other in-house counsels and outside counsels, as required
• Negotiate and draft complex transactional agreements
• Taking preemptive measures to avoid legal risks and conflicts

Qualifications

• Admitted as a Solicitor in a common law jurisdiction
• Have at least 4 years post qualification experience, as well as ideally having trained in a top tier International law firm
• Confident negotiator who is able to handle contract negotiations with large, international clients.
• Strong team player who has an excellent ability to establish and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders. Previous in-house experience is desirable but not a pre-requisite.
