Job Description
Techniche Global are supporting leading automotive manufacturer to appoint an
Instrument Cluster Principal Engineer
Key responsibilities:
Development of Instrument Cluster, Head-Up Displays and Displays to meet Nissan Design and Test standards.
Close management of suppliers to ensure the parts under development are delivered in line with program requirements for cost, quality and timing.
Issue and maintain physical part BOM and configuration data for Nissan manufacturing plant.
Prepare functional specifications through discussion with system owners, customer orientated engineering, styling and trim engineers.
Present part development status at regular internal Design Reviews.
Review and approve part drawings submitted by suppliers.
Manage in-house and supplier validation of the parts.
Resolve technical issues with test departments and suppliers.
Support vehicle development builds at Nissan manufacturing plants. Investigate, contain and resolve issues as they arise.
Conduct vehicle life cycle cost reduction idea generation and implementation.
Lead vehicle life cycle warranty investigations and countermeasure implementations.
Qualifications and Experienced required:
Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent.
Understanding of basic electrical theory.
Experience developing HMI based parts.
Familiar with automotive electrical architecture.
Exposure to CAN communication (1 year minimum).
Familiar with software development V cycle (1 year minimum).
Familiar with software validation methods
