Director of Operations - Pharmacovigilance
Hybrid working, with flexibility on number of days required onsite. Salary fully negotiable, dependant on experience.
Job Responsibilities
* To lead all aspects of both the firms' future strategy and internal operations.
* To promote the firm to relevant external agencies, including pharmaceutical companies and medicines regulators.
* To contribute to the continual development of good practice in pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology.
* Responsibility for the scientific and ethical governance of the firm.
* Responsibility for ensuring the firms' compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
* Leading the internal leadership team, working in a collegial way with senior staff to set strategy, agree workstreams and workload and ensure adequate staffing.
* Promoting the firm to potential sponsors of scientific studies, overseeing protocol development, study conduct, data analysis and reporting.
* Maintain methodological research internally and in collaborations to advance pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology.
* Managing financial aspects of the firm, ensuring adequate income to support agreed studies and close monitoring of short-, medium- and longer-term funding.
Skills Required
* Possesses a degree in a health/medical-related discipline (such as; MBBS).
* Possesses a PhD or equivalent qualification and experience in pharmacoepidemiology or similar.
* Has a proven ability to build alliances, develop capacity and capability, and work with other stakeholders.
* Has evidence of senior leadership skills and experience of working with and managing others.
* Possesses experience of 5 years’ or more in pharmacovigilance or pharmacoepidemiology.
* Has a well-established national and/or international reputation in pharmacovigilance and/or pharmacoepidemiological research and/or practice
