Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time

Pay: £85-£100 per day

Location: Hackney

About the role:

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Join our warm, inclusive, and supportive school community in Hackney as an SEN Teaching Assistant, where we specialize in providing exceptional care and education for ASD students. As an SEN Teaching Assistant with a focus on ASD, you will work closely with our experienced SEN team to support children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Your role will involve working one-on-one and in small groups with students to ensure they have the support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. You will be a key player in creating individualized education plans (IEPs), implementing strategies to help children develop communication skills, and promoting positive behavior. Your patience, empathy, and creativity will be vital in helping students with ASD overcome challenges and thrive in the classroom environment.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with children, ideally within an SEN setting.

• A genuine passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

• Patience, creativity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Relevant qualifications or a willingness to undertake training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support for students with ASD, ensuring their unique needs are met.

• Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

• Work one-on-one with students or in small groups to help them achieve their learning goals.

• Support children in developing communication, social, and life skills.

• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to create a cohesive support system for students.
