Our client are recruiting a locum Occupational Therapist for their team to carry out community local authority assessments for both standard and specialist equipment, minor and major adaptations.
Key responsibilities:
Complete strength based assessments for people with disabilities within the City Council's eligibility criteria, applying the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.
Recommend and organise the supply of equipment and structural adaptations to meet the assessed need.
Demonstrate to people with disabilities and their carers in the use of equipment and/or adaptations provided.Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Relevant experience working in a local authority and be confident and competent in the completion of manual handling assessments.If you are interested in any of these roles, please put through your application.
