Our client in Blackburn is seeking talented Commercial Vehicle Builders/Fitters/Repairers to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for both skilled and semi-skilled individuals who are eager to learn and grow in this exciting field.
About the Role:
In this hands-on role, you'll play a vital role in keeping Commercial vehicles on the road. You'll work on a variety of tasks, from Fitting & Repairs to Building and customizing new vehicles. We offer training and development opportunities to help you hone your skills and advance in your career.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain and repair a wide range of commercial vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and buses.
* Build and customize new commercial vehicles according to specifications.
* Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
* Work with various materials, including steel, aluminum, timber, and fiberglass.
* Ensure all work meets strict safety regulations and quality standards.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues to complete projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a skilled or semi-skilled Commercial Vehicle Builder/Fitter/Repairer (a plus for experience in specific areas like bodywork or mechanical repair).
* Strong understanding of mechanical and bodywork principles.
* Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A valid driving license is preferred but not essential.
