About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in challenging behaviours to join our team. This is a full-time, long-term position with a salary of £85-£100 per day. The role is a new addition to our team, reflecting our commitment to providing exceptional support for our students with complex needs.
In this role, you will be working closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students who exhibit challenging behaviours. Your main responsibilities will include providing tailored support to help these students engage with their learning and develop positive behaviours. This role stands out due to its focus on making a significant impact on the educational journey of students with additional needs.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with challenging behaviours and special educational needs.
• Strong understanding of strategies to manage and support challenging behaviours in a classroom setting.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience in a challenging but rewarding environment.
• A relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs or Behaviour Management would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with challenging behaviours.
• Implement tailored behaviour management strategies and interventions.
• Work closely with teachers to create and adapt learning resources and activities.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Collaborate with parents and other professionals to support the student’s development and well-being.
