SEN Teaching Assistant

£417-£425 per week
ABC Teachers is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant with strong behavioural management skills for a full-time position at a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in South Birmingham.
Role Overview:
Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs, promoting positive behaviours and engagement.
Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning and emotional needs, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Assist the teacher with classroom preparation, and the development of tailored learning resources for the students.
Help implement behaviour management strategies to support student progress and emotional well-being.
This ongoing position starting as soon as possible, on an ongoing basis. The school are also looking for part-time staff for other positions.

Candidate Requirements:
Strong behavioural management skills and the ability to implement strategies that support students with SEMH needs.
Previous experience working in a SEND or SEMH setting is essential.
Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt to challenging situations.
A passion for supporting young people and helping them reach their full potential.
Ability to provide suitable references and successfully pass an Enhanced DBS check.
All staff are subject to thorough interview processes and referencing checks. Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
