Outreach Teaching Assistant

Position: Outreach Teaching Assistant
Location: South London
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Full-time, long-term
Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 4pm
About the Outreach Teaching Assistant Role:
We are looking for dynamic and empathetic Outreach Teaching Assistants to work with students who require additional support outside of a traditional classroom environment. You will be working with a diverse range of students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and access education in a way that best suits their individual needs.
Outreach Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students with SEN in various settings (Library, community centres, school and local learning areas)
* Developing positive relationships to encourage confidence and independence
* Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and working alongside SEN teachers and other professionals
* Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation
* Promoting inclusion and access to education for all students
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN
* A compassionate and patient approach
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
