BI Applications Manager

Grade 12 and an Honours degree (NQF 8) in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification. 8 to10 years experience in an IT environment, with five years experience in management. 3 years experience in managing business intelligence and analytics platforms. Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data modeling. Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Looker. Knowledge of SQL, data visualization techniques, and business analytics. Project management and leadership abilities to guide BI initiatives. Effective communication skills to translate complex technical data into actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders. Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of BI applications such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or SAS. Manage data integration processes that consolidate data from various sources like databases, cloud platforms, and ERP systems. Manage the full project lifecycle for BI initiatives, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Keep up with the latest trends and advancements in BI tools, data analytics, and technologies like AI, machine learning, and big data.
