Job Summary:
- Applications section is seeking a First Line Support Analyst to support the users of the State Electronic Notifiable Disease Surveillance System (SendSS) and Public Health Information Portal (PHIP).
- Both these systems are in-house developed by a team of developers for which the Support Analyst will work closely with as part of this team.
- The SendSS/PHIP Support Analyst is responsible for sustaining the daily operations of the SendSS/PHIP system by providing first line systems support to end users.
- Duties include telephone support solving or escalating user issues to the developers, monitoring and responding to the SendSS Support email address, unlocking user accounts, and verifying new user access in accordance with organization and user job function.
- "Under supervision, provides management information system user support on a continuing basis either by phone or site visit.
- Troubleshoots end-user problems.
- Analyzes and designs software modifications to meet users' needs.
- May develop and conduct training programs for software/hardware users.
- High school diploma or GED AND training and experience necessary to independently provide technical support to computer users in an assigned office/geographic area.
