The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Process Safety Engineer to join a company who are a global leader in speciality chemicals production, committed to sustainable innovation, and have a reputation for delivering high-performance products worldwide. As a Process/ Safety Engineer, you will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, providing technical process expertise to maintain safe and reliable operations while facilitating the delivery of site objectives.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Provide technical process safety expertise to maintain safe and reliable operations.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to facilitate the delivery of site objectives.
Undertake and participate in safety studies (PSSR, Pressure Relief, Risk Assessments, Hazard Studies, LoPA, ALARP Demonstration, PUWER, DSEAR, etc.)
Provide monthly and quarterly updates on Process Safety KPIs.
Support production/manufacturing operations.
Specify process equipment and produce datasheets.
Undertake project scoping, PFD/P&ID development, and design documentation.
Troubleshoot, problem solve, analyse data and suggest improvements.You Will Have the Following Qualifications & Experience
Chemical/Process Engineering Degree.
Proven Process Engineer/Process Safety experience, ideally conventional experience with a safety bias.
Strong understanding of Process Safety and experience of undertaking and participating in safety studies (PSSR, Pressure Relief, Risk Assessments, Hazard Studies, LoPA, ALARP Demonstration, PUWER, DSEAR, etc.).
Able to provide monthly and quarterly updates on Process Safety KPIs.
Experience of Management of Change systems and procedures.
High degree of analytical and numeracy skills.
Proficient in report writing, producing documentation and the development of procedures and training.
Experience of supporting production/manufacturing operations.
Experience of working within multi-discipline teams.
Able to troubleshoot, problem solve, analyse data and suggest improvements.
Able to specify process equipment and produce datasheets
Able to undertake project scoping, PFD/P&ID development, and design documentation.
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work and communicate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.It's Great if You Also Have the Following
Relevant Masters Degree or Equivalent.
