About the Role:

We are delighted to be working with a leading special school dedicated to supporting children with diverse educational needs, who are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students, working within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs.
• Therapy Planning: Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy programs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy into daily school activities.
• Parental Engagement: Provide guidance and strategies for parents to support communication development at home.
• Progress Tracking: Regularly evaluate student progress and adapt therapy plans as necessary.
• Training: Deliver training sessions for staff and parents on effective communication strategies.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assessments, therapy sessions, and student progress.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
• Have proven skills and experience to engage and deliver therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs.
• Have experience of supporting the team around a child or young person to provide clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences.
• Be a confident, engaging and effective, model, guide, leader and trainer.
• Be highly organised and ready to take the initiative.
• Be committed to ensuring the best outcomes for young people.
