With a strong reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction, they are expanding their operations and looking for a dynamic Freight Sales Branch Manager to lead their Manchester office.
This role would suit a sales professional who is ready to take the step into a Senior position and progress their career within the industry.
Job Overview:
As the Freight Sales Branch Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales operations, driving business growth, and managing the day-to-day activities of the Manchester branch. You will lead a team of sales professionals, develop strategic sales plans, and ensure the highest levels of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the freight and logistics sector. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and partners.
Branch Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Manchester branch, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. Manage budgets, resources, and staff to meet organisational goals.
Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained. Address client concerns and provide solutions to improve customer satisfaction.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to stay ahead of the competition. Use this knowledge to adapt and refine sales strategies.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, branch operations, and market insights for senior management.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in a sales management role within the freight, logistics, or transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes, including air, sea, and road transport.
