Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer
Location: Peterlee
Salary: Up to £45,000
Job Description:
I am working with a successful automotive manufacturer in their search for a new Sales Engineer. The successful individual will possess a strong technical background combined with excellent communication skills to effectively support the sales process. This role involves working in close partnership with customers to provide technical support, ensuring the successful implementation of product solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to the sales team and customers.
* Assist in the preparation and delivery of technical presentations.
* Collaborate with the sales team to develop and deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
* Create sales proposals, quotes, and technical documentation.
* Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
* Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer insights and market demands.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
* Conduct on-site visits to evaluate customer needs and provide technical guidance.
* Support customer training sessions and workshops on product usage and maintenance.
* Contribute to the development of technical manuals, guides, and training materials.
Skills & Experience:
* HNC or degree in a related mechanical engineering qualification.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical sales role in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical products.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts.
* Ability to travel as needed to support sales activities and customer engagements
