Job Description
We're looking for an MEP Cost Planner based in Basingstoke.
Location: Basingstoke - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know
What will you be responsible for?
As an MEP Cost Planner you'll be working within the Pre-Construction team providing cost planning expertise and commercial advice on projects with a wide range of clients.
Your day to day will include:
* Manage the development of cost plans with a high degree of commercial acumen.
* Attend client-facing meetings during the tender/procurement process, articulating cost plan details clearly to clients and design teams.
* Liaise with design consultants, attending design meetings to advise on the commercial effects of design proposals.
* Provide affordability advice, continuously appraise, and value manage throughout the procurement process, including implementing Value Engineering principles by investigating alternatives and associated costs, and identifying key risks and opportunities.
