Senior Mechanical Engineer Needed for Special Purpose Machinery Manufacturing
We're seeking an experienced senior mechanical engineer on a contract basis in the North East. Our client specializes in special purpose machinery manufacturing and requires someone with expertise in Autodesk Inventor, engineering calculations, and manufacturing processes.
Role Description:
As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll design innovative solutions that meet client requirements. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and production team members to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design complex mechanisms using Autodesk Inventor.
- Perform simulations like FEA.
- Analyse and test prototypes.
- Develop technical specifications.
- Ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate effectively across departments.
Qualifications/ Skills Required:
To qualify, you must have experience in similar industries and specific skills, including:
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
2. Expertise in Autodesk Inventor.
3. Strong knowledge of engineering calculations.
4. Excellent problem-solving abilities.
5. Familiarity with industry-standardization procedures.
6. Strong communication skills.
