Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Key Stage 2 with behavioural needs at our inclusive and supportive primary school.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to a child with behavioural challenges in KS2.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement personalised learning plans.
Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive social interactions.
Support the child in both academic and non-academic activities, fostering their emotional and social development.
Help create a structured and nurturing learning environment.

Essential Criteria:

Experience working with children, particularly those with behavioural needs, is highly desirable.
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage challenging behaviours calmly and effectively.
A flexible approach and willingness to work as part of a dedicated team.
A commitment to promoting the child's well-being and academic progress.

Additional Information:

This role is subject to enhanced DBS checks and is restricted to male applicants due to the specific needs of the child.

Contract: Fixed-term, term-time only
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm)
Start Date: As soon as possible
