Job Description

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Open Data Technical Lead to be responsible for underpinning good development processes including managing tools and testing environments, central code control, transform technical requirements into DevOps processes and identify and resolve issues that are preventing delivery.

develop and deepen understanding of the technical architecture of products and services within the team, documenting and sharing this knowledge appropriately.
design, implement, and maintain API management solutions using Azure API Management.
create, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing of applications.
enhance and streamline Azure DevOps processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
define and maintain YAML files for builds and releases in Azure DevOps pipelines.What You Need

understands key principles of modern standards approach, how they apply to the work they are undertaking, and will apply under guidance.
designs, codes, tests, corrects and documents simple to advanced programs or scripts independently.
able to help fix faults following agreed procedures. Carries out agreed infrastructure maintenance tasks.
aware of how to integrate systems and the challenges of designing, building and testing interfaces between systems.
experience designing solutions and services with security controls embedded, specifically engineered with mitigation of security threats as a core feature.
able to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audience and can work as part of a team whilst upholding the values of inclusion and diversity.
the ability to pass security clearance, backed by the right to work in the UKAbout The Team

The Data and Search team consists of data analysts and data engineers who focus on understanding data, providing insights on data, and transformation of data to effectively deliver services to stakeholders within Parliament. This involves supporting the master data sets, integrations between systems, supporting the implementation of new systems, improving the quality of data and providing analytics and reporting.
