Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Byfleet, Surrey
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to improve manufacturing processes for electro-mechanical assemblies. You will lead the design and control of assembly fixtures, manage process documentation, and implement workflow improvements to enhance production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and control jigs and fixtures for various assembly types.
* Update and maintain manufacturing process documentation (SOPs).
* Implement and manage changes to processes and tooling.
* Analyze and reduce process scrap through improved workflow techniques.
* Identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
Requirements:
* Experience with CAD, preferably Solidworks and PDM.
* Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally Sage 200.
* Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
