Job Description
A successful candidate would have the opportunity to work for a fast-growing company, in a modern workshop environment and would need to be able to work effectively as a team member and have strong problem-solving skills.
They would be setting complex jobs, working with tight tolerances to supply components across a wide range of different industries. They would have the opportunity set and operate different machines throughout the workshop from 3 axis mills to 5 axis machinery.
Required Skills/Competencies:
* Heidenhain, Siemens & /or Fanuc controls – 3 & 4 axis. 5 axis preferred but not essential as training can be given.
* Understanding of engineering drawings and working with tight tolerances.
* Strong communication and time management skills.
* CAD/CAM capabilities are desirable.
* ISO (Apply online only) experience would be beneficial.
Responsibilities:
* Programming, setting and operating vertical CNC machining centres, from 3 axis to 5-axis machines.
* Completing small to medium batch work plus prototypes.
* Work collaboratively as a team to improve existing processes and quality control.
* Working with a variety of materials from plastics, aluminium and stainless steels.
* Producing components to tight tolerances.
* Maintain production records to comply with ISO 9001:2015 and company procedure.
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as under own initiative.
Working Hours:
* 40 Hours per week
* 07:30 – 16:30, Monday to Thursday
* 07:30 - 13:30 Friday
* Additional overtime available
* 23 days holidays per year
