Job Description
We are working exclusively with one of the largest players in the UK protected salad industry. In fact our client has further strings to their bow and sources worldwide a variety of fresh produce, marketing and distributing to UK retail markets. Their success and business acumen has made them a highly respected supplier and employer within their sector and they now seek a driven Assistant Grower to join their team. You will be living and working close to Middlesbrough in North Eastern England, with the stunning Yorkshire Moors and Pennines only a stone’s throw away.
You will support the Glasshouse Manager to ensure the smooth running of the glasshouse in all key aspects, with the view to quickly developing the competency to relieve the Glasshouse Manager during leave and weekend rotations. This is a practical position and the successful candidate will spend a great proportion of his/her time working in the glasshouse gaining empathy with the crop and production techniques.
