Who You Are

• Enthusiastic and self-motivated


• Previous experience in grounds maintenance (desirable)


• Minimum plant knowledge (desirable)


• Basic horticultural machinery knowledge (desirable)


• Understanding of Health & Safety (essential)


• Driving licence allowing up to 3.5 tonne (transit tipper) - preferably with experience driving in a London Borough (essential)


• Ability to take and understand clear instructions (essential)


• Ability to work in all weather conditions (essential)


• Ability to complete physical tasks unsupervised (essential)


• Customer Care experience or dealing with the public (desirable)


• Ability to work within a team or as a lone worker (essential)

What the Job Involves

This role entails maintaining Enfield's parks and open spaces to the high standards our visitors expect. With over 100 parks, including playgrounds, countryside areas, and sports pitches, the position requires physical tasks often conducted unsupervised or within a team. Workers must adapt to all weather conditions, handle horticultural machinery, and have a solid grasp of Health & Safety. The job involves occasional public interaction, and driving a transit tipper within the borough may also be required.
