Senior Arborist (SC6)

Who You Are

• 3 to 5 years minimum full-time climbing experience


• Qualified for chainsaw maintenance (CS30.1)


• Experienced in cross-cutting and stacking timber (CS30.2)


• Skilled in felling and processing small trees (CS31)


• Certified for aerial rescues (CS38)


• Ability to interpret and apply tree management legislation and procedures


• Full Driving Licence


• Significant practical experience as a tree surgery specialist


• Qualified in using a chainsaw from a rope and harness (CS39)


• IT Literate


• Desirable qualifications: First aid, Lantra/City & Guilds certifications in Stump Grinding and Wood Chipper operations, MEWP & Chainsaw use in MEWP, City & Guilds - Street works Signing Lighting and Guarding, PA1& PA6 Safe Use of Pesticides, and Driving Licence with C1 / C1E / BE entitlement

What the Job Involves

• Leading a three-man Arb team


• Performing arboriculture works primarily within Parks and Open Spaces


• Working collaboratively in a small team of arborists
