Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer on a renewables project, you will be responsible for overseeing and supervising all mechanical works, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. You will be working on behalf of our client, a leading qualification and inspection company, and will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Works Supervision:
  • Oversee and supervise all mechanical activities on the project site, including installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
  • Monitor progress and identify potential issues or delays.
• Quality Control:
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that mechanical works meet the required standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality deficiencies.
• Safety Management:
  • Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
  • Ensure that all personnel on site are provided with appropriate safety training and equipment.
• Client Coordination:
  • Liaise with the client's representatives to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all mechanical works, including inspection reports, test results, and project records.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in the renewables industry, with a focus on mechanical engineering.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
