Lead Architect

A growing Insurance brand are looking for a Lead Architect to join the team and take ownership of product architecture and looking for knowledge and expertise across all application layers.

The Lead Architect role requires strong knowledge of API and Data Architecture as well as UI design.

Responsibilities of the Lead Architect:

  • Transform product vision and business objectives into technical enablers and key architectural elements.
  • Collaborate with agile delivery leads and product managers to provide technical planning support.
  • Serve as the primary contact for architectural impact assessments during Product Planning Events.
  • Develop and maintain Solution Architecture documentation, emphasizing reusable patterns.
  • Present Low-Level Designs to the Technical Design Authority and justify key design decisions.
  • Advise development teams on evaluating options and ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Build and sustain strong partnerships with Data & Analytics, Information Security, IT Operations, and Infrastructure teams.

Key skills for the Lead Architect:
  • Understanding of modern API technologies such as REST, SOAP, etc
  • Azure integration stacks including API Management
  • MVC web frameworks
  • Azure Analytics stack including Databricks, ADLG2, Synapse etc
  • Experience in the Insurance/Financial Services industry (desirable)
Salary: £100,000 - £125,000 per annum
Location: Central London/WFH hybrid (Flexible variations for the right candidate)
Start Date: Up to 3 month notice periods considered
