AS400/RPG Developer

The AS400/RPG Developer is an integral part of the Software Development Team. They develop and maintain custom applications that support both internal and external stakeholders. They support and maintain the custom Warehouse Management system that runs our business. They also maintain and develop programs called from our websites to perform transactions within our DB2 database.

The AS400/RPG Developer will work alongside other team members to design, develop, and deploy applications for our clients. They will work alongside Java Developers and collaborate with other AS400 Developers, a Data Integration Specialist, and an IT Project Manager when designing solutions. The Java Developer will report to the Software Development Director.

• Screens with Sub-files
• Window prompts
• Function Key programming
• Subroutines
• Indicators
• Arrays
• Reports
• Job Scheduler
• AS400 Command Line Execution
• AS400 Vendor Package Maintenance
• Familiarity with ERP Concepts
• Database design

• Bachelor's Degree Required in IT or Engineering
• 2+ Years of Experience
• Good Technical Skills
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt as technology changes

Preferred Skills

• Database Fundamentals such as SQL
• Software Testing

Bonus Skills

• Experience with Shipping Software
• Experience with Replication between 2 AS400 machines
• Experience with AS400
