Aureus Medical Group - Imaging is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Bossier City, Louisiana.

About Facility: This traveler will float routinely between Willis Knighton Pierremont (Shreveport, LA) and Willis Knighton Bossier (Bossier City, LA) General Information: Beds: will depend on facility Minimum Years of Experience Required: RN: 3 years RN experienced, at least 1.5 year in Cath Lab within the last year Xray Tech: 2 years Will you accept a first-time traveler? RN: With strong Cath Lab experience, will accept 1st time travelers Xray Tech: With strong Cath Lab experience, will accept 1st time travelers Patient Types: RN: RN has 3 different fxns in these labs – circulating, monitoring or scrubbing – someone that could do multiple functions is needed – please decline candidates that are only able to circulate Coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, diagnostic Cath procedures, valvular disease, renal disease, carotid stenosis, limb salvage, peripheral stenosis, thrombosis disease, TAVR, MitraClip, etc. Xray Tech: Coronary diagnostic and complex interventions including (STEMI), cardiogenic shock, Chronic total occlusions valvular disease, Peripheral vascular procedures, structural heart and soon neuro interventions. Patient Ratios: 1:1 Required Certifications: RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Valid Driver’s License – required to float between facilities Xray Tech: BLS, ACLS ARRT and state license (LSRBTE) is required RCIS (preferred but not required) Valid Driver’s License – required to float between facilities Skills required: RN: Must be able to scrub/monitor as well as circulate - please decline RN traveler if they are unable to scrub – please include in offer what cases they are comfortable scrubbing Circulating, scrubbing and/or hemodynamic monitoring. This would be for cardiac & peripheral vascular. We do complex interventional procedures. Must have seen most of what is on the list, please add in offer any case type the traveler has not done Other skills required - Vasoactive drug administration, sedation administration, critical patient assessment skills, sterile technique, air management, Impella, Rotoblater, IABP, Pnumbra, Laser and lithotripsy atherectomy Xray Tech: Operation of imaging system. Ability to scrub. Hemodynamic monitoring (strongly preferred) Support on the Unit: Charge RN Technology/Equipment: EMR: Meditech Expanse IV pumps: Alaris Medication dispensing: Pyxis Monitors: Merge hemodynamic monitoring systems Equipment: Philips imaging systems, quite a bit of ancillary equipment (IVUS, EKOS, FFR, Laser) Floating: If yes, where? RN and Xray Tech: Will float between Willis Knighton Pierremont and Willis Knighton Bossier Will also be backup for WKMC North – this facility will perform more complicated cases at this facility such as TAVR, mitral valve Orientation: 1 week at Innovation Center Up to 1 week of precepting/unit orientation Scheduling: Typical schedule - Monday-Friday: 0700 to 1530 Weekend rotation: RN: minimum – approximately every 3rd weekend Xray Tech: approximately every 3rd weekend Call required: Rotating - RN: 2 days a week overnight – 1500 to 0700 Every 3rd weekend – Friday 1500 to Monday 0700 Is there a sleep room available? TBD What is the call back period? 30 minutes Xray Tech: 2 days a week overnight – 1500 to 0700 Every 3rd weekend – Friday 1500 to Monday 0700 Is there a sleep room available? TBD What is the call back period? 30 minutes Holiday Expectations: done in rotation RTO Approval: Manager approval Shift times: Monday – Friday, 0700–1500 with (2) call overnights per week Schedule cycle: 4 weeks Other notes: Scrub Color: Pewter Parking: Free
