Estimator

We are currently recruiting for an Estimator/Senior Estimator in Birmingham on behalf of one of our clients -a very well-established company having been in operation for 127 years! They work on new build and refurb schemes in education, healthcare and commercial sectors! The Birmingham office, in the construction arm alone, turn over 15-20 million, aiming to achieve 30 million.

Ideal Candidate:

• Main Contractor background
• Experience working on one and two stage tenders
• Conquest experience would be beneficial but not essential
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent organisation skills and used to working in the detail

Duties will include:

• Managing and preparing competitive tender submissions varying in form eg. one/two stage tenders or negotiated contracts.
• Sending tender enquiries out to supply chain.
• Analysing quotes from the supply chain.
• Carrying out precise quantification checks.
• Attending supply chain meetings on a regular basis ensuring an accurate scope of works and competitive costs have been provided.
• Being aware of modern build techniques and materials.
