Commissioning Engineer

As a Commissioning Engineer for a data centre development project, you will be responsible for the testing, validation, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure systems. You will ensure that all systems are installed and functioning according to design specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. This role involves collaborating with construction teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure the data centre is fully operational and meets performance criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and execute the commissioning of critical systems, including HVAC, power distribution, and backup systems.
• Develop and review commissioning plans, test procedures, and documentation.
• Perform system inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of installed equipment.
• Liaise with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure all systems meet operational requirements.
• Monitor the performance of mechanical and electrical systems during the commissioning phase.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Provide technical support and reports on commissioning progress and issues to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in commissioning within data centre environments or other mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, cooling, and control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
