Field Cable/NW Technician

PlanIT Group is hiring a Field NW Engineer- DC and MD radius. This is a long term contract to possible hire at $33/hour and you are paid for being on call. Would you be interested? Thank you for your time!

Field NW Engineer- DC and MD radius

• Pay range- $33.00/HR


• Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm (must be flexible to working extended hours likely / evenings weekends / on-call for 7 days every 2-3 weeks)


• Location: Mobile - Maryland (D.C Metro/Vicinity (supporting sites up to 3 hours from target locale)


• MUST be acceptable to amount of hours varying per week, there is no 40 hour guarantee. However, on average for the year it usually equals 40 hours per week.


• There are quarterly shut downs that average up to 1 week but can go up to 3 weeks. There is no work during these times. Candidates' need to be comfortable with this.


• Valid DL and dependable vehicle that can support up to a 6 ft ladder (mileage reimbursed at federal rate)


• They will be on call for 7 days every 2-3 weeks. $25/HR per day for on call.

Requirements:

• 2 Years relevant experience

  • Experience with field experience supporting various customer locations: offices, data centers, branch locations, call centers, & ATMs
  
  
  • Racking and stacking
  
  
  • Cable patching
  
  
  • CAT 6/6a pulling, installing, testing, troubleshooting
  
  
  • Physical layer troubleshooting
  
  
  • Installing and troubleshooting Cisco Devices
  
  
  • Must have a basic knowledge of Cisco Phones, switches and routers WLAN/WAN
