Position Summary:

ISI is looking for an experienced Construction Administrator/Manager with a background in the construction industry to provide Owner's Representative construction management services to a Federal client in the healthcare industry. The Construction Administrator (CA) will work to support a Federal client looking to plan, study, and design $100M+ of future work, as well as, manage ongoing construction projects of various sizes and complexity. Provides a wide range of analytical and planning, design, and construction management support services to assist the client. The position will support more senior government project managers and fellow contractor project managers, who will work as part of a larger design/construction program. The ability to lead and work as a team AND work independently are critical. ISI is seeking an individual who will be a clear communicator, takes initiative and embraces project ownership.

Responsibilities:
  • May possess a degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and/or evidence work experience or knowledge to compensate for absence of higher education. A minimum of three (3) years of construction management work experience may be substituted and will be reviewed for acceptability.
  • Shall possess a working knowledge of construction practices and call upon this knowledge to assist in implementing the various plans set forth on the project including Quality Assurance, Safety, Time, Cost, Change and Information Management.
  • Shall be familiar with the site operations of a General and Sub-contractor and the process of managing a building construction operation.
  • Possess experience sorting, filing, and tracking construction/project related documentation.
  • Possess experience organizing and attending design/production meetings and distributing meeting minutes to all project stakeholders. Draft and distribute project updates and facilitating team communication.
  • Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
  • Work experience and completed projects shall be identified in the credentials of the individual to show competency to undertake a rigorous program in construction in all identified tasks.
  • Must possess Communication, Language, and Software Skills with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products and compile data and records by applying both knowledge of the construction industry and computer literacy.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required:
  • May possess a degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and/or evidence work experience or knowledge to compensate for absence of higher education. A minimum of three (3) years of construction work experience may be substituted and will be reviewed for acceptability.
  • Ability to recognize terminology associated with administration of construction activity and support CM staff with required documentation and submission of project related data.
  • Must maintain a working knowledge of major construction activity and the typical documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Communication, Language, and Software Skills
  • Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
  • Ability to exercise good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred:

  • Medical facilities experience.

This job operates in a professional office environment.   • Flexibility related to work hours as project demands arise.
  • Occasionally required to move 5 - 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary computer position for extended periods of time.

Work Setting/Environment/Travel Requirements:
  • Monday through Friday, Normal business hours 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • 10% Travel - May need to travel to other Federal facilities within a 50-mile radius.
