Utilities Site Engineer

We Require a Utilities Site Engineer required for a 6-month rolling contract based in the Midlands.

This role will be a site-based role (5 days per week). Flexible working (40hrs per week)

To provide strategic operational supervision, strong control of the works associated with the removal, assurance and diversion of located and unforeseen utility services. To be able to locate all utilities and follow the procedures in regard to permit to dig system.

To coordinate with all Utilities Authorities and to comply with safety standards in all aspects.

To coordinate with the delivery team and direct the works, and approve all related permits

To support the Construction teams, coordinate with Statutory Undertakers, Network Rail, Rail Systems contractors, Enabling Works contractors and Others throughout the design and construction of the works.

To support the co-ordination, submission, compliance and management of all assurance activities and the resolution of assurance related issues

At least 5 years of experience delivery/diversion of Utilities on major projects in the construction industry, UK experience a plus

Experienced in the use of project information tools and management systems including MS Office and web-based collaboration technologies for project

Strong Quality Assurance

As Built/test Plans

Safety Committed (CSCS card, SMSTS or similar)

Has an ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts.

Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion.

Can deliver reports orally and written in an objective and persuasive manner.

Has good interpersonal and communication skills

Is a self-starter who manages their own time and seeks to add value to their function.

Is able to work within a multi-discipline team.

Is good at building relationships and can influence effectively.

Can demonstrate initiative and resilience.
