Join us at the heart of our Data Team, where you’ll hone your policy skills in the world of Data and AI. The work we do in this area is key to Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) and you’ll have an integral role to play.

With the ongoing terrorist threat, there has never been a more important time to work alongside some of the best and brightest to help keep people safe. As a Business & Policy Support Officer, you’ll play your part by helping us make better use of data in our critical national security mission.

Our Data and Analysis Pillar was established in 2019 to transform CTP’s use of data. Our vision is that CTP becomes a data-centric organisation, with the right data exploitable by the whole network against any threat, using the best available capabilities, while maintaining legal compliance and public trust.

As a Business & Policy Support Officer, you’ll be at the centre of this endeavour, contributing to the development of data policy for Counter Terrorism Policing. You’ll also support the delivery of the Digital, Data, Analysis and Technology (DDAT) Board, and the Data Board. It's an exciting opportunity – and you’ll have the chance to build your skills by managing the logistics and arrangements of these key decision-making boards.

To excel, you’ll need to be highly organised and a good communicator, on paper, online and in person. We’re also looking for proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), motivation and people skills. If you can work both independently and as part of a team, we want to hear from you. In return for your efforts, you can expect a competitive salary, a Civil Service pension, excellent career development, and a role that’s hugely fulfilling.
