A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Linen Room Assistant to join the housekeeping team at The Berkeley and The Emory.

As a Linen Room Assistant you will assist the housekeeping department to ensure that the linen chute is emptied at regular intervals throughout the day and is never left to become blocked. You will sort, count, and pack the containers with dirty linen, which is then to be sent out daily to Royal Jersey Laundry. As a Linen Assistant you will ensure the dirty linen count is accurately transferred on to the despatch list to go with the dirty work.

Main responsibilities of theLinen Room Assistant include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the linen room is kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Ensure all clean dry towelling is folded to the set standards.
  • Assist in inventory taking.
  • Deal with any lost property using the correct procedure.
  • Be responsible for assisting the Linen Room Manager in ensuring the security of the linen room at all times.
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and that the cleanliness of lockers, showers / toilets and changing rooms are maintained to the required standard of the Hotel.
  • Contribute in maintaining an excellent level of service in conjunction with the minimum requirement of the LQA standards at all times.
