Location: London and suburbs
Reports to: Head of Projects
Responsible for: Fire/Security/IRS Installation projects

Role Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire project life cycle, from initiation to completion. This role involves ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.


Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Execution: Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects efficiently.
  • Work Breakdown & Revisions: Create and manage work plans, making revisions as necessary.
  • Task Management: Oversee daily project tasks and ensure timely completion.
  • Stakeholder Meetings: Lead project meetings with clients, suppliers, and third parties.
  • Communication: Provide regular project updates both internally and to clients.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Negotiate and resolve project risks and issues.
  • Scope & Change Control: Manage project scope and control any changes.
  • Documentation: Produce and maintain project initiation and management documents.
  • Resource Management: Ensure consistent and reliable project resourcing.
  • Hands-On Involvement: Be prepared to engage directly in project tasks when necessary to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Project Handover: Complete full handover to clients upon project completion.

Knowledge & Experience Required
  • Project Management Expertise: Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Full Life Cycle Management: Extensive experience managing the entire project life cycle.
  • Relevant Qualifications: FIA, NSI, LPCB, C&G, or similar certifications.
  • Interpersonal & Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and other departments.
  • Self-Motivation: Able to organize your time effectively and motivate others.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Multi-Tasking: Experience managing multiple simultaneous activities and leading project teams.
  • Technical Experience: MUST have experience with systems such as CCTV, Access Control, etc.

General Requirements
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the construction industry and/or Fire & Security systems.
  • Background Check: Must possess a clear criminal record and meet the requirements to pass a CRB/DBS check, as required in the security industry.
  • Policy Adherence: Familiarize yourself with and uphold company policies, including Equal Opportunities and Anti-Harassment and Bullying Policies.
  • Proactivity: Bring forward ideas and suggestions for business improvement.
  • Training & Meetings: Undertake training and attend staff and team meetings as required.
  • Health & Safety: Observe health and safety procedures to ensure personal and colleague safety.
  • Flexibility: Undertake other duties as needed to meet changing priorities and business objectives.

  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience) plus commission scheme.
