Job Description

Peaple Talent have partnered with a market leading retail and ecommerce organisation based in Swindon who are currently looking to recruit a Cloud & Infrastructure manager on a permanent basis to start ASAP. You will be responsible for leading the Cloud and Infrastructure team along with support the digital transformation and growth across the business by Providing technological excellence and guidance for the technology strategy of the business. You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining appropriate systems, policies and processes ensuring the Cloud and Infrastructure team is held accountable by hitting measurable service objectives whilst keeping risk, availability and costs within an agreed target.


Job role and responsibilities

Leading a team of cloud, infrastructure and security colleagues. Focus on coaching, mentoring. Building Personal development plans with the team members and support them to achieve their goals and objectives.

Support the strategy of the business ensuring the infrastructure and services in use are fit for purpose and meet the businesses objectives. Ensure obsolesce and security vulnerabilities are controlled.

Close collaboration with peers and other cross functional departments within Technology and other business functions. Stakeholder management and the ability to effectively communicate with senior and non-technical colleagues.

Budget planning and controlling including regular forecast. Regular goals and performance reviews.


Tasks

  • Management of suppliers, contractors and consultants
  • Liaise with internal departments to understand their needs; recommend solutions and provide support to users
  • Handle and establishes priorities for maintenance, design, development, and analysis of a Cloud/hybrid infrastructure. With focus on quality of service and scalability and efficiencies
  • Provide 3rd line support and guidance
  • Hands on with infrastructure, software and systems.


Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • 5 years managing others
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Strong examples of experience or work history drawing on demonstrated competency in the following technical disciplines
  • Enterprise hardware and networking products
  • Enterprise software such as Hyper-V and VMware
  • Backup technologies including Veeam
  • Security products
  • WAN and Firewalls
  • MS Azure and M365
  • Willingness to travel and work overtime/weekends with little notice
  • Perform duties and/or tasks that may not be detailed within your job description
