Job Description

Are you an experienced Private Client Tax professional looking for your next challenge? Our client, a prestigious accountancy firm with ambitious growth plans, is seeking a skilled and motivated Private Client Tax Specialist to join their dynamic team in their Northampton office.


EA First is excited to be representing a leading accountancy and advisory firm, based in Northampton who are renowned for their proactive and client-centric approach, the firm serves a diverse client base, from individuals to large enterprises.


In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of private client tax matters, with a keen focus on advisory work. The work will involve complex Inheritance Tax and Estate Planning, Trusts, and International tax matters, requiring an expert-level understanding of these areas. You will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality tax advisory services, supporting the Tax Partner in delivering exceptional client service.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the delivery of tax advisory services, including drafting detailed reports and providing comprehensive advice to clients.
  • Managing work in progress and billing for the department, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, offering expert guidance on a range of private client tax issues.
  • Mentoring and developing junior members of the team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.


About You:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in private client tax advisory services and will be confident in handling complex tax matters with minimal supervision.


Essential requirements:

  • Qualifications: CTA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience: Broad and strong technical knowledge in Inheritance Tax, Estate Planning, Trusts, and International tax matters.
  • Skills: Proficient in report writing, with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and develop team members, take ownership of projects, and ensure quality control.
  • Work Ethic: Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Team Player: Strong ability to work as part of a wider team, with excellent interpersonal skills.
