Power BI Developer

iO Associates are working with a well-known Bank based in Bristol, who are currently looking for a Power BI Developer with experience in Data Migration to join the team on a contract basis.

Job Title: Power BI Developer
Day Rate: £600 Inside IR35
Location: Bristol, hybrid model, 2-3 days per week in the office.
Length: 6 months

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Migration: Lead data migration projects, using ETL tools and Power Query to ensure data integrity and consistency, and map source models to Power BI datasets.
• Power BI Development: Design and optimise Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models, creating advanced insights using DAX.
• Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure seamless data migration and reporting, providing training and support for users.
• Testing & Validation: Test and troubleshoot migrated data, ensuring accuracy and resolving issues.
• Documentation: Document processes, data models, and work flows, maintaining up-to-date records of Power BI solutions.

Experience & Skills Required

• Power BI: Advanced in report/dashboard development, DAX, and Power Query for data transformation.
• Data Migration & Integration: Experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory) and migrating data from sources like SQL Server, Excel, APIs, and cloud databases into Power BI.
• SQL: Expertise in querying, troubleshooting, and optimising database queries.
• Azure: Familiarity with Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI Service.
• Data Warehousing: Experience with large datasets in on-premise and cloud environments.

• Must have migration experience and have worked within the Financial Industry.
