About the role:

For the Overhaul and Repair team, the main function is to overhaul and repair our fleet of Jenbacher gas engines. The role involves UK travel and on occasion, a possible requirement for overseas travel to support the Clarke Energy Group.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team to overhaul and repair Jenbacher Gas Engines in accordance with schedules and requirements.
• Identify and report any faults found during the overhaul of the engines, and the faults discovered during repair.
• Request parts from stock as necessary.
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Supervise semi-skilled staff and apprentices involved with the overhauls and repairs.
• Follow and adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and regulations at all times.
• Ensure that all work areas are kept clean and tidy.

About you:

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills:

• Good standard of Gas and Diesel Engine knowledge and technical understanding.
• Understanding of Health and Safety issues and requirements, including manual handling.
• Knowledge of safe working practises.

Essential

• Time served mechanical engineer, or extensive Jenbacher and/or gas engine experience.
• Experience of major overhauls on medium speed diesel or gas engines.
• Full driving license

Desirable

On site experience of carrying out in-situ repairs and overhauls.

This is a full-time permanent position, based from the South region (Southampton and surrounding areas) but with extensive UK travel required. The working hours are Monday to Friday 40 hours with paid overtime.
