Job Description

A manufacturing company is currently looking for a Junior Financial Manager to join their financial team. The Junior Financial Manager 's core duties include analyzing financial data, crafting budgets/forecasts, offering strategic guidance, mitigating risks, and ensuring financial objectives harmonize with the broader organizational goals to enhance profitability and business expansion. The ideal candidate must exhibit leadership qualities, foster financial and operational efficiencies, and shoulder responsibility for enhancing overall business performance. As a Junior Financial Manager , you will responsible for the following: Leading and overseeing financial accounting operations to stimulate business growth and effectively monitor performance. Ensuring compliance with finance governance and instigating ongoing enhancements within the finance function. Presenting comprehensive financial reports to illuminate business insights and aid decision-making, including regular reviews of management accounts for executives. Streamlining month-end finalization processes by implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating cost-saving initiatives. Adhering strictly to group reporting timelines and financial standards. Efficiently managing working capital, encompassing debtor and supplier relationship management and stock control. Understanding and managing capital expenditure requirements, asset utilization, and conducting capex reporting and Economic Value Added (EVA) modeling. Overseeing annual financial audits, tax calculations, and ensuring timely submission of budgets and forecasts to the group. Engaging with finance staff for training, identifying areas for improvement, and nurturing optimal team performance. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the finance department. Driving Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) and regularly reviewing/signing off on payroll reports. Ensuring statutory compliance and offering insights into manufacturing and product costing. Facilitating the import process. Job Experience and Skills Required: Completed BCom with articles Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position Manufacturing industry experience is preferred If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
