Our dedicated sales team's efforts have made us the largest supplier in the Mil-Aero-Space market. We are a QPL company for the Military, Aerospace, and Maritime industry, involved in the import, export, and local provision of premium products and interconnect solutions. Role's Purpose: The Business Development Engineer will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, identifying business opportunities, and promoting a comprehensive range of interconnect solutions, visiting neighbouring countries and travelling throughout Africa. Requirements: Grade 12 Degree, Trade certificate or Technical N4 qualification Proven experience in sales, preferably in the interconnect solutions or the electronics industry Strong technical acumen and the ability to understand and communicate complex technical information Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented 5 years customer and/or product experience in technical sales Computer literate (Ms Word, Ms Excel, Internet and Email) Responsibilities and Work Outputs: Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential customers. Understand customer needs and requirements, providing effective solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction Sales and Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory i.e. Africa. Achieve sales targets and objectives by actively promoting products and services. Collaborate with the sales team to create and implement effective sales strategies Product Knowledge: Stay informed about product offerings, industry trends, and competitor activities. Provide technical support and guidance to customers, demonstrating a deep understanding of our products Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential customers and market trends. Keep management informed about market conditions, competitor activities, and customer feedback Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer support, to ensure seamless communication and cooperation Competencies Required: Self-motivated Customer focused Detailed-oriented approach to tasks Problem-solving aptitude Team collaboration and individual initiative Skills: Technical Skills: Strong understanding of the technical aspects of the products and services being sold. Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms. Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and protocols. Proficient in relevant software and tools related to RF engineering. Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade customers. Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations. Skills in responding to RFPs and preparing proposals. Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to understand customer needs and provide appropriate/practical solutions. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members. Excellent soft skills (Negotiation and co-ordination). Time management and planning. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Adaptability and Learning: Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
