THE POSITION

This position is responsible for maintaining, receiving, and distributing inventory within the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Houtzdale. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you may be assigned to either the warehouse or commissary area based on operational requirements. In the warehouse, your duties will include receiving stock from vendors, documenting receipts, inspecting materials, matching packing slips with purchase orders, and ensuring the safety of products during unloading. You will also manage inventory by conducting regular audits, ensuring proper storage, distributing items to the correct locations, and keeping an accurate delivery log. In the commissary, your responsibilities will involve processing inmate commissary orders, distributing forms, receiving and scanning orders, verifying inmate account balances, staging and distributing orders to inmates, and recording all transactions. Additionally, you will oversee the distribution of new clothing, manage the collection and distribution of inmate laundry, and supervise clothing repairs using various sewing equipment and tools. You will also operate various equipment, such as motor vehicles, forklifts, and hand trucks, to handle oversize and heavy materials.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,664.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
+ Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania is required.
+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.

+ You must pass a background investigation.
